Dear ColleaguesThe level 2 soil moisture SMOS data reprocessing has been completed.The new data set encompasses almost the first two years of SMOS and is compatible with the routine L2 processor currently running.With some Cal Val group members we will spend the next 4 weeks or so to check and validate this new version before it will be released officially by ESA.Note that the level 2 SM algorithm itself is almost unchanged, most of the efforts were on the level 1A big thank to François Cabot who master minded this preprocessing exercise on CNES facilities for ESA at the incredible rate of 15 day/day thanks to the new multi-threading developed by Array Systems.More news on this soon!CheersThe SMOS team
