The teams interact through three large operational projects , they permit the development of scientific applications.

"Sud-Ouest " project :

Carbon and Water budgets for the Midi-Pyrénées region

A typical example of research is the need to understand the functioning of heterogeneous ecosystems and their monitoring.

'Sudmed' " project :

Functioning and hydro ecological resources for semi-arid regions  

The objective is to describe the dominant processes that control the fluxes, the vegetation production and the water budgets in semi-arid zones, and to predict their evolution under human influences.
